Julia Klot

Julia Klot is a NYC based music artist writing soulful pop music combined with elements of rock, funk, and jazz. With her original compositions, she creates melodic and intricate piano parts accompanied by her dynamic vocal range, comparable to artists like Sara Bareilles, Norah Jones, Elton John, and Carole King. Julia's most recent releases 'Boxing Gloves' [2023] and 'Lie' [2024] introduce a sound riddled with catchy horns/groovy keys/ear-worm vocal & guitar licks, inspired by bands like Lawrence, Melt, & Sammy Rae & The Friends. The renowned music blog 'Earmik' speaks of Julia's ability to seamlessly, "...blend [an] upbeat sound with emotionally charged lyrics...[creating a] perfect mix of old-school charm and modern pop sensibilities...that is both enjoyable and thought-provoking." Julia began her musical study with piano lessons at age 6 and was exposed to the world of songwriting through her teacher. In 2011, Julia began working on music at RedBird Studio with Radian Records, eventually releasing her debut album “Julia Klot” (2014). Since then, she’s established herself as a frequent performer throughout NYC, playing at well-known venues like The Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, Mercury Lounge, Pianos and Arlene's Grocery. Whether it be just her and the piano or with the support of her band, Julia brings an electric energy to every stage.
